Join DM Emma Goldman at Bard & Baker on Wednesday September 22nd at 5:30 PM for a fun filled Queer D&D: An Inclusive Learn-to-Play Experience! Bring a pencil, bring a notepad, but most importantly -- bring your imagination!!
Queer D&D at Bard + Baker is a special event centering around members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as allies, who are interested in playing (and learning to play) D&D in a safe and supportive environment!
As in all of their sessions, DM Emma (they/them) prioritizes active consent and communication in all play sessions in order to create the most welcoming environment possible for all players! We invite and encourage players of all skill levels to join us for these events, especially folks who may have worries about gatekeeping or ending up in an unfriendly or domineering group.
Learn about role-playing around a game table, the wonders of collaborative story-telling, fantasy exploration and much, much more.
In this workshop we will cover the basic rules of game-play, how to figure out the kinds of play-style's you're interested in, how to build your dream characters and how to use these new found skills in gameplay itself. Learning is a collaborative experience, so open discussions should be expected, but the priority of these sessions will always be placed on developing familiarity with the basic goals and becoming comfortable in the game space!
All adventures will take place in Fifth Edition Dungeons & Dragons (D&D 5e) with level 3 characters (unless specified otherwise!). Characters will be provided as needed, but people are encouraged to bring their own if they have them!
We can't wait to have you!
Both newbies and experienced players are welcome. Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP by purchasing your ticket HERE to guarantee a seat.
$15.00 covers your seat at the table with a 3 hour learn-to-play session centered around inclusivity and fun! <3

Emma Goldman (they/them) has always lived and loved the exploration and excitement found in fantasy. They believe that the stories created through tabletop roleplaying can truly be some of the most healing, exciting and beautiful one's possible. This is why they've always worked to create welcoming environments around their table. If you want to learn how to play D&D, you can learn how to play D&D and they are here to help make it fun and easy!
Emma has been playing D&D for about 10 years and running games for about 5. It is a game that lets you explore mystical woods, treacherous dungeons and even yourself (things are cliché because they're true!).
There is so much to be found around a table with friends, they can't wait to see you there!
Emma also runs a Small Publishing Press and makes books, zines and more at www.susurratepress.com
