Are you a local artist or creator looking to host a workshop in store at Bard & Baker?? We’d love to have you join our events calendar!

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Hi there, local creator! When we opened The Cottage expansion space in 2023 next door to the main dining room at Bard & Baker our goal was to use it as a bookable event space for special occasions and fun workshops! Since then we have partnered with many small artists, businesses and creators to offer fun, unique classes and workshops for our guests.

Paint and sips? Yes!

Plant and sips? You bet!

Fiber arts like crochet and embroidery? Yes, please!

Have an idea for a fun workshop that you want to run past us? Read below for how we structure our workshop small biz relationship and then fill out the form at the end to submit your inquiry and someone will be in touch with you soon regarding available dates.

HOW IT WORKS

We do not charge a room rental fee or require any ticket percentage share for your workshop because we want you, the artist/creator, to get 100% of the ticket sales so you can run the best event possible!

There is an 8 person minimum and a 30 person maximum for workshops in The Cottage space. Table layout is modular so we can do long communal tables or groupings of smaller tables depending on how you teach and what works best for your specific workshop.

Once your event day and time is confirmed via email, you will be sent our logo to include on all promotional materials. We recommend including a QR code to tickets on the poster that you email us to print as guests often times will scan and purchase tickets in store for workshops.

Please include all relevant information on the poster, including: your business name, Bard & Baker name and location and logo, ticket price, workshop/class name, date and time, and a picture of the craft/item that folks will be creating (this makes tickets sell faster for sure!).

How do you collect ticket sales? Most hosts prefer to ticket via EventBrite, but you can certainly ticket through your website or Venmo if you prefer. Just make sure that the guest (and that we!) have the ticketing link and information so we can direct guests accordingly.

Please note that we require a minimum of 2 weeks promotional time for ticket sales for your workshop and we book workshops up to 3 months in advance. When we send you available dates after filling out the form, it will be dates over a 3 month period. All workshop dates are on a first come first serve basis, so if someone else responds back selecting a specific date you were interested in, they will get first priority over it.

You keep all the ticket sales and Bard & Baker benefits from food and drink sales the day of — a win-win working relationship supporting both of our small businesses! <3

Ready to host a workshop?? Fill out the form below and someone will be in touch with you shortly regarding your inquiry! We look forward to collaborating together!
