Local artists Opal Hexen and Rainier Bernhardt are coming back to Bard & Baker on Friday September 27th for another fun printmaking workshop, this time using Lego as a medium!
This month we're trying some new, and making prints with an unconventional material. This will be a little different than our usual printmaking workshop, but definitely not one to miss!
Included with your ticket is a discounted drink ticket for Bard and Baker, use of materials for the class, all the prints you make, and time with two local artists! You just need to bring some ideas and an open mind, they'll provide the rest! Get your tickets in advance HERE on Eventbrite.
Taught by artists Opal Hexen and Rainier Bernhardt, and hosted by Bard and Baker in Troy NY.
Opal Hexen is a local Troy artist and printmaker, who designs prints for the weird and wild. When they're not creating or teaching, they can be found mushroom hunting or flipping over rocks in the woods. Their work can be found at www.OpalHexen.com or an Instagram @opal_hexen.
Rainier is a multimedia artist and natural illustrator based out of Rensselaer NY. Their body of work ranges from digital drawings to block prints, and centers on accurate watercolor compositions depicting local and underrepresented wildlife. Rainier recently won a grant for public art installation for their Hudson River Ecosystem illustration, and will be joining Arlene's Art Supply as an Artist in Residence starting in October 2024.
