Join DM Alex Timmis for a Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventure for Level 7 characters. Create your character, grab some dice, and come join the party as you dare the dangers of an wicked wizard’s tower.
Deep in the desert, a city of outlaws grew in the shadow of a glittering alabaster tower. Whispers and rumor cloak the mistress of the Tower of the Jackal in obscurity. Few dare speak Vota’s name aloud for fear it brings her wicked gaze. While superstition and fear keep the rabble away, some risk to wonder if she still even lives and will miss the treasures said to lay within its walls. What hidden treasures may lay within for those foolish or brave enough to dare entry?
This one-shot is inspired by the sword and sorcery stories of Robert E. Howard and will take about 3 1/2 hours to complete. Some previous play experience is encouraged but all are invited to join the table!
Come prepared with a character of your own imagining with two uncommon magical items using any currently published 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons materials or use one of the pre-generated characters provided. You are encouraged to bring along writing supplies. The materials and pace of these sessions are intended for participants 14 years and older.
A ticket is required for each participant in your party. Seats are limited so make sure to snag your spot!
Seating begins at 5:30pm to grab food, drink and settle in before the game begins. Please arrive early if you are planning to choose a pre-generated character so you may familiarize yourself. Printed characters are not required, feel free to play your character on a tablet or app if that is easiest for you.

DM Alex Timmis (he/him) loves telling stories around the table with friends. He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for seven years and rolling dice behind the DM screen for three. While an improv performer and instructor, Alex fell in love with role playing games and helped bring FIASCO! to life onstage at the Mopco Improv Theater in Schenectady. RPGs, like improv, give us a space to play and explore roles we don’t typically get to play in our day-to-day lives. Alex encourages a playful and respectful table where all players get a chance to add to the narrative and share the spotlight
